Sketch Comedy Performance The main goal of the Sketch Performance course is to train you in the specifics of being a sketch comedy performer. In the Sketch Writing course you learned about the Five Foundations of sketch comedy, and you discovered that your writing style needed to adapt depending on which Foundation you were writing in. In the Performance course we show you that the Foundation also affects your acting style, and you need to adjust accordingly. All Together Now... The Sketch Performance course is the most intense and challenging class that we offer. It’s the final step in becoming an ACME SKETCH PERFORMER. We look for many things when choosing who we invite into our little family. We look for organized, professional actors who aren’t afraid to put in the hard work that goes into making comedy look effortless. We look for people who are team players, people who can put aside their own ego and make the show their top priority - not just their moment in the spotlight. Finally, we want individuals who are absolutely electric to watch, who light up the stage and bring a unique comedic voice to the ACME experience. If you have all of those things, then we look forward to seeing you... Requirements Participants must first complete the ACME Sketch Comedy Writing course to be eligible for this performance course. For those who do not have comedy performance experience, completion of at least one level of an ACME Improv course, such as the Improv Elements Series, is also required.
